The PrestaShop Addons Awards have a new look this year: in 2020, PrestaShop Marketplace Favorites it’s time for the PrestaShop Essentials! Each year, we reward the best products in our marketplace in order to highlight the quality of our contributors’ work.
In this article, we explain how we selected and identify the winners of this 2020 edition of the PrestaShop marketplace’s favourites!

The ” PrestaShop Favourites “: what is it?
The entire PrestaShop Addons team has come together to reward the best modules in 6 categories, as well as the best themes in the three business sectors that are most popular with retailers.
The Categories of the 2020 Favourites
In each of the categories listed below, we rewarded a winning module, an up and coming module, a Partner module and a module chosen by agencies:
- Best module for generating more traffic
- Best module for optimizing the conversion rate
- Best module for productivity gains
- Best module for increasing the average basket
- Best Loyalty Module
- Best module for optimizing navigation
We also awarded the best theme in the following areas :
- Fashion & Shoes
- Home & Garden
- Electronics & Computers

How did we select the winners?
The modules are rated based on the technical quality of the module, the product sheet, customer feedback and finally, of course, on how useful the module is for online retailers.
For the themes, our Design team focused on the intuitiveness of the theme, its finesse, its value creation, its readability, the quality of its animations, its navigation, its customization, and its responsive nature.
